*Performance must not exceed the maximum duration limit, not reaching the minimum duration will not affect the result.
#Own choice pieces must be clearly indicated on the entry form.
 
(1) Contestants must be a legitimate resident of Hong Kong and Macau. Accepted identity documents only include idenity card or passport of Hong Kong or Macau.
(2) To play from memory is NOT required in the Preliminary. But contestants reaching the Final MUST play from memory.
(3) Recommended repertoire should include different styles of music i.e. baroque, classical, romantic, 20th century and modern. Repertoires must be the same in the Preliminary and the Final. Change in repertoires is not allowed once registered.
(4) Contestant must bring one set of original copy and one set of photocopy of the music they are going to play.
(5) Entry form is invalid if not properly completed or with insufficient supporting materials.
(6) Contestants must bear their own expenses.
(7) Jurors will not adjudicate participants who are their students.
(8) Decisions of the jurors are final.
(9) The organizer reserves the right to disqualify contestants.
(10) All contestants would be informed by letter on Preliminary arrangement by 23 July. Contestants not receiving any information by 27 July should contact the organizer at 2731 4193.
(11) Entry fees are not transferable or refundable.
(12) The results of Preliminary will be announced on internet (tlmf.org and tomleemusic.com) and posted at all Tom Lee Music Centres one week after Preliminary.
(13) No person or party who has not been authorized by the organizer may take photos, videos or make any kind of recordings at any session of the competitions. The copyrights of all audio and visual recordings of the competition and the winners' concerts are deemed the properties of the organizer.
(14) All winners will be required to take part in all promotional activities related to the competition. No remuneration will be provided.
(15) Awards are not exchangeable for cash.
(16) All contestants should dress properly and cannot wear uniform or badge on the competition stage.
(17) Rules, regulations, awards and judging panel are subject to change without prior notice.
